NEW!! Heron Announces the
New Rally and Wayfarer Frames!!
Production is now beginning on our new Rally
and Wayfarer models. These new models are updates of our classic
Road and Touring frames. While offering the same geometry
and paint options, they offer a number of new features:
New Rally Features Compared to the Road
Frame
• Designed for standard-reach calipers (47-57 mm) to
provide greater tire and fender clearance.
• Includes upper rack mount braze-ons on the seatstays
to simplify rear rack mounting.
• New stainless steel dropouts are left bare on the
mounting surfaces to prevent paint damage from quick release
skewers and hubs.
• The chainstay bridge is positioned the same distance
from the rear axle as the seatstay bridge to provide a cleaner
fender installation.
• The seatstay and chainstay bridges provide braze-ons
for simple, direct fender mounting.
New Wayfarer Features Compared to the Touring
Frame
• Features a new, heavy-duty fork equipped with mid-fork
braze-ons for low-rider rack mounting.
Availability
The Rally and Wayfarer are replacing the Road and Touring
as part of a running change to our normal production. We build
our frames in batches by size. So, we will produce a run of
a given size Rally or Wayfarer when we run low or out of the
same size Road or Touring. We expect the most popular sizes,
medium sizes, to be available first.
The Road Frame
Frame and Steel Fork: $995.00
The Rally Frame
Frame and Steel Fork: $1250.00
The Heron Road and Rally are all about versatility
and comfort. You can put fenders on them, ride them with fat
tires on bad roads and fire trails, or you can race them on
a smooth course. Our priorities were to design a versatile,
all-around road frame that you can ride on any surface, and
one that offers more comfort - by means of a proper riding
position - than 99 percent of the frames you can shake a stick
at.
The Touring Frame
Frame and Steel Fork: $1045
The Wayfarer Frame
Frame and Steel Fork: $1300
Good all-purpose rough-stuff bikes. They
are smooth and stable by virtue of their wheelbase and steering
geometry, but in no way do they feel like a station wagon.
The Heron Touring and Wayfarer make wonderful bikes for commuting,
long distance riding, or light trail riding. For true, loaded
touring, these frames are perfect. The clearances are right
for fat tires and fenders, and they are rigid enough to handle
heavy loads without squawking.
All prices are suggested retail and do not
include shipping, prep, or bicycle assembly. All prices are
subject to change.
